Outroslide Photography offers professional documentary, community and portrait photography for organisations and individuals across the West Midlands. Based in Walsall, we work with arts bodies, local authorities, community groups and businesses throughout the region — producing photography that is honest, carefully made and built to last.

With 14 years of professional experience and a background in Arts Council-funded project work, we bring a documentary approach to every commission. The work is done unobtrusively, to a high technical standard, and with genuine interest in the people and places being photographed.

Documentary and Project Photography

Long-term commissions, grant-funded projects and visual records of community initiatives. We have extensive experience working on Arts Council England and Heritage Lottery Fund projects, and understand the specific requirements for reporting images, evaluation materials and public-facing content.

We are experienced working across diverse communities in Walsall, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Sandwell and the wider Black Country, and in international settings, with project work completed in South Asia and East Africa.

Community and Arts Photography

Photography for arts organisations, local authorities and community groups. Whether you need documentation of an ongoing programme, images for a grant application or coverage of a public-facing project, we work flexibly around your brief and your team.

Environmental Portrait Photography

People photographed in their own environment — their workplace, their neighbourhood, their project space. Environmental portraits are more revealing than studio shots, and far more useful for organisations that want imagery that tells a real story.

We work with individuals, project participants, community leaders, artists and professionals. Sessions are straightforward, require no studio and can take place anywhere across the West Midlands.

Event Photography

Community events, exhibitions, public launches, conferences and civic occasions across the West Midlands. We cover events discreetly and deliver a clean, edited set of images within an agreed timeframe — ready for press, social media or reporting use.

For larger events or those with specific reporting requirements, we are happy to discuss brief, usage and delivery format in advance.

Portraits and Headshots

Individual and group portrait sessions for professionals, creatives and organisations. Headshots are available on location or at an agreed studio space in Walsall. We keep the process relaxed and straightforward — most people leave surprised by how easy it was.
